SIX HOURS in line for an H1N1 shot.
FOUR AND A HALF of those hours were spent standing in a bone-chilling wind, one block away from the school in which the shots were being given. A school that should have been put to use in FAR BETTER fashion, than keeping a thousand parents and their small children outside in icy conditions.
TWENTY MINUTES of it was spent asleep, sitting on the floor of that school, propped up by the lockers in the hallway.
The injection ache in my arm? That should last for A DAY…maybe TWO.
As for the irritation? It will last THE ENTIRE WEEKEND!
I shall now consume a pound of chocolate, to console myself.
